The Papayal Patron Saint Festival is celebrated during the last week of November in the populated center of Papayal, in Zarumilla province. During these days, the community turns to religious celebrations in honor of its patron saint, with novenas, masses and processions that run through the town's decorated streets.
The festival is also an opportunity for family and community gatherings, with typical food fairs, music and recreational activities accompanying the devotional calendar in one of the most traditional hamlets of the northern border.
It takes place in Papayal, a populated center in Zarumilla province.
