The San Jacinto District Creation Anniversary is celebrated every November 24th and commemorates the political creation of this district in Contralmirante Villar province, in the Tumbes region. The civic day includes the hoisting of the national flag, solemn sessions, school and institutional parades and cultural activities that reaffirm local identity.
The celebrations bring together authorities, educational institutions and neighbors in the district's main square, on a date dedicated to remembering the history of the community and projecting its development. The ceremonial acts are complemented by artistic performances and fairs that give a festive tone to the commemoration.
